The Kircher Society posted an entry on the sculptures by Gregory Barsamian that use persistence of vision effects. They remind my a little of the kinetic sculptures by Theo Jansen I posted about a few months ago. Like those, Barsamian’s work is mesmerizing and hypnotic and I can’t wait for an opportunity to see them in real life.
Gregory Barsamian’s website, which can be found here, is well worth a visit. Lots of pictures, althouh you might want to turn the volume down a bit before going there, because the menu buttons make a pretty annoying sound when you hover over them
